What We Do

We offer diversified reading and educational programs to help your student(s) excel in the classroom. Our programs are researched based and provide the best educational experience.

In addition, we offer peer tutoring; given by a high school or college student. The services encompass homework help, math assistance, enrichment and test prep.

Writing program: provides a program that helps students write an essay using graphic organizers, sequencing techniques and transitional words and vocabulary reinforcement.

Programs Offered

Orton-Gillingham (OG)

Orton Gillingham is an approach to help struggling readers become the best they can be. This program is a multisensory approach using tactile, auditory and kinesthetic techniques. For example, writing in sand, dancing the letters out or even hopscotch using words. This approach can be used with dyslexic students but not limited to students with learning difficulties. The focus is on letters, sounds, and fluency. Call us if you need more info.

Wilson Reading System

Designed for students in grades 2-12 and adults who have a language-based learning disability, such as dyslexia, or who have not internalized the sound-symbol system for reading and spelling, the Wilson Reading

System programs

Offers a research-based program supported by thirty years of data collected and analyzed from school districts implementing it. Presents the material in 12 Steps, not corresponding to grade. Requiring the mastery of each substep before progressing to the next one makes the demands of the subsequent substep manageable and achievable.

Follows a lesson plan that includes decoding, morphology and the study of word elements, encoding and orthography (internalizing the rules that govern English), high frequency word instruction ,oral reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Incorporates a systematic and cumulative approach to teaching total word structure for reading and spelling.

Fluency Builders Program (OG based program)

Designed for students in grades 3-12. Offers a research-based program supported by thirty years of data collected and analyzed from school districts implementing it.

Presents the material in 12 Steps, not corresponding to school grade levels, that are further divided into 52 incremental substeps, each building upon the previous one. Requiring the mastery of each substep before progressing to the next one makes the demands of the subsequent substep manageable and achievable.

Follows a ten-part lesson plan that addresses the following in a sensible and logical fashion: decoding, morphology and the study of word elements, encoding and orthography (internalizing the rules that govern English), high frequency word instruction, oral reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Provides a systematic and cumulative approach to teaching total word structure for reading and spelling.
Aids teachers by making all instruction multisensory and interactive.

Uses a unique “sound tapping” system early in the program to help students segment and blend sounds.

Rave-O

RAVE-O is a research based educational program. It focuses on word knowledge, letter patterns, enhancing vocabulary, and much more!

Connect To Comprehension

Connect to Comprehension is a comprehensive, scripted intervention reading program for struggling readers in grades 1-8. It is effective for struggling readers using text controlled, decodable readers.

Brain Training

What is Brain Training?

Brain Training is an intensive program designed to enhance one’s cognitive and processing abilities. It is best to do one-on-one training and needs 2-3 days with a trainer and two days for parents to do with the child. Otherwise, the trainer can do it 5 times a week. Brain training works by learning through multi-sensory techniques. Some benefits to this technique are it helps to improve clarity and focus which helps to create an independent learner. This in turn will raise self-esteem and be instrumental in the classroom setting.
